Good Tuesday Morning. A deal was reached last night between screenwriters and producers, averting a strike that would have thrown TV and film production into chaos and inflicted harm on the economies of California, New York and Georgia. In a flurry of last minute bargaining, the writers’ big stride was more pay for less episodes in a season. The writers caved on double pay from streaming and other residual revenues.

 

Daylight – 6 quarters – Whole Foods came clean yesterday and said it would close stores in several states after six consecutive quarters of declining sales. The issue according to analysts is because other supermarkets have begun to imitate what people liked about Whole Foods. I think it’s the opposite problem that we will all have to guard against.
