Good Wednesday Morning,

Daylight – A group of investors, led by former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush on Tuesday, won the bid to buy the Miami Marlins for $1.3 billion. Not exactly a legacy franchise like the Yankees, Cubs or Dodgers, but the team did win the World Series in 1997 behind a group of free agent veterans. Art dealer Jeff Loria bought the team in 2002 for $158 million. Not a bad return, especially considering the team was able to get the city of Miami to help pony up for its $500 million-dollar new stadium in 2015. By the way, an Entrepreneur in Philly is setting up a Cricket league for the U.S. He has deep pockets and is starting out with eight teams. If you are interested, I know somebody. Create your own league no matter what you do…
